Cinnamon Roll Cake

Last week was busy... and then I got a cold on top of everything.  Bleh!  Lots of rest, tissues, and OJ, later and I am ready to get back to the swing of things.

I'm feeling a little bit random today, but one of the things that makes me happy is cooking.  I recently made a Cinnamon Roll Cake from a recipe that has been making the rounds on Pinterest from Cookin' Up North. 

Here is a picture after I swirled the cinnamon mix into the batter.  Pretty no?

What a great cinnamon smell that filled the house as this bubbled and baked in the oven!!

As a small make it my own, I quickly turned my cake out of the pan while it was still hot on to a serving tray which gave it a cool falling apart look that let the frosting settle into lots of nooks and crannies! 

I know you are tempted to reach in and just pull a piece out with your fingers!  It really solved the concern of the middle pieces not oozing with frosting.

I made this for a neighborhood get together and it got rave reviews.  I have a feeling I will be making this one a few more times!  If you have this one on your list... make it pronto!!
