Wrapping up Maple Sugaring

I can't think of a better way to spend pre-spring weekends. You know the ones where it's just starting to get nice out, but still a little chilly. We had had quite a nice maple syrup production and made a total of five batches.

    Oh my...you're living my dream. My 5-year-old daughter and I have been reading Little House in The Big Woods and we have been "dreaming" of maple syrup and what it would be like to make our own syrup.

    We are expecting snow tomorrow, so we may make our own sugar candy with "store-bought" maple syrup on snow.
