Getting outside in sunny weather for a hike with Mr. Happy and the dog = happiness!
I can't think of a more perfect way to spend some quality time with my family other than getting out for a hike. We climbed Slide Mountain or rather "We Slid Slide Mountain." <-- That was the bumper sticker slogan we can up with on the hike, ha!
Slide Mountain is tucked nicely in the Catskills (NY)... far away from anything. Along the way we saw many things... like huge mushrooms of all colors. When I saw these yellow ones I couldn't think of a more interesting way to start the week with you. Enjoy!
More hiking and weekend adventure pictures coming this week!
Very interesting! I didn't know mushrooms came in yellow (or other colors). We have many here in Florida this time of year, but they are all off-white...I have never been to the Catskills, but would like to. Love hiking.
ReplyDeleteCool mushrooms. Perfect for MYM!
ReplyDeleteThere have certainly been a lot of mushrooms popping up with the recent rains, but I have not seen any yellow ones. These must be special!
ReplyDeleteIf these were in a cartoon, they'd be shelter from the rain for ants. hehehe
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
oh this is the first i saw yellow mushrooms. happy MYM.
ReplyDeleteI love hiking too in our vicinity :) Delicious looking mushrooms !!!!

My Mellow Yellow Shots
Nice shots...I'm going to have to stop back to see your hiking photos. We love hiking and just went to Adirondacks last year. Can't wait to see shots of the Catskills.
ReplyDeleteNice find! Always nice to go hiking with the camera.
ReplyDeletePretty mushrooms, is it editable? It it poisonous? So lovely like flowers.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I had seen yellow mushrooms too! There were also bright red and oranges ones. Not sure if you could eat them, but they were huge and bright and really like dots of sunshine along the way!
