It's called STYLE.PLAY.WORK.SHOP. and is designed to be a fun experiment in styling a still life with household objects. I am joining for the first time in Round II using the following objects:
Ribbon, Envelope, Jewelry, Squash, Bottle
I waited for a sunny weekend to play with setting up this picture -- which happened to be this past weekend -- and picked things that complimented the coloring of the other objects. I may have started with the pumpkin and added things from there. It also took me some time to decide where I wanted to do this set up. I was thinking of light, but also what the background would be. The other interesting aspect I considered is what story would this image tell? I am still not 100% sold on my own story, but doesn't it look like I am going to have a glass of wine and write up some note cards on my coffee table?
I did add some extra items (hope that's ok) to fill in some of the blanks for myself. I added a wine glass, pen, stamps, cards, and small plate holding jewelry.
Well, anyway... enough of me rambling. Here are the results. I'm happy with how they came out for a first attempt and have to admit that I had a lot of fun in the process!
Please check out the other participants in this flickr group here and also if this has you smiling ear to ear and you would like to join in, then please head here to find out about what objects we will be presented with in the next round!!
This pop of color and my blue jewelry are serving as my Midweek Blues entry hosted by Rebbeca over at The Dusty Cellar.
I hope you will check out other cures for the Midweek Blues there!

I didn't know a pumpkin counted as a squash so this also serves as educational :)
I love Katie - she always looks so interested in whatever is going on and she has the kindest face
@Augie and Ti, she isn't very still for still life, but I know I will have to sneak her in a bit more!
@Dina, thank you!!
@Dianne, the colors were so much fun to think about and I'm glad I could share the pumpkin is a squash secret!! And thank you for the Katie compliments!!
Your layout is adorable. I love how you labeled everything in that first pic! I may have to rob that idea from you for the 3rd workshop! Thanks for playing!
This is great! And your assistant is beautiful!
Christie, I really envy ceative people! You did soooooo good here!
I read your frosting/candy/mishap post above. It reminded me of a story I had read in my early childhood life. One that I can't remember except good was made from mishaps. :)
..
I love your post on this project! Thanks for joining in! I can't wait to see what you do next time around.
I guess I will have to get a dog so we can use pets in the near future!
