Creative Tuesday: Curls (#70)

Happy Creative Tuesday

I'm so proud of myself for actually working on this week's challenge of Curls in advance of Tuesday.  I admit I didn't really have any ideas in mind, so I just let me brush wander over the page in very soft waves.  Not knowing what it would become I set the page aside and let it dry overnight.

The next morning I decided it wasn't curly enough.  It was wavy yes, but I was certain I could push the theme farther.  So, with a black sharpie I started in with the curly lines and knew I was heading in a great direction.

The result is another one of my crazy, colorful, abstracts.  And I'm smitten with it.  And because I can't resist here is the instagram of the doodle.

Hope you had as much fun with this one as I did.  And I'm looking forward to the next challenge, aren't you?

Love what you did with curls. The background is lovely, and then the added curls just looks like a fabulous piece of frabric, I would like as a quilt.

Or maybe I'd just hang it on the wall... Very very pretty.

Really pretty, it looks a bit like a stained glass window. I like how you showed the process, too.

That black was the perfect finishing touch! I'm seeing it in a quilt...again! Hope you have plans to start a fabric line.

-Hahahahaha. I was thinking--oh that is clever, the wavy one. Didn't even think of it as waves till you said that but I LOVE what you did with it! It's totally fun and superb. Rock on! TY christy. Makes me very happy indeed.

i don't know if this was planned or not but I actualy l really like the unexpectedness of the vertical yellow drips contrasting against the sharp lines curls.

nicely done. as always, love seeing your pieces come together step by step. really like the wavy piece on it's own, but yeah, the curls are a great touch to it, especially like the ones in the bottom portion of the piece. Thanks

what a fun piece! I like how you cropped it - I also like to think about the differentiation of WAVY vs CURLY --- IE, what one might think about what it means to quantify the unquantifiable, define the subjective, etc. FUn!
