No More Whining

I started my morning off with a new mantra..."No More Whining"

As in, I really need to stop whining about what I want, things that aren't in my control, and how things aren't fair.

I instead need to stop sabotaging myself and just put my best foot forward with each and everything I do.

I know I have a deep skill set to pull from.
I know I can do a lot more than I am -- in fact I have done more.
I just need to re-prove it to myself so others can notice too.
And I need to be more optimistic about what the future might be.

All that... and what do you know... I'm having a great day!  Hope you are too!

Happy Spot Hump Day: Ice Caves

Here are some snaps of where I would much rather be today. These were taken from the Sam's Point Ice Caves... looking through my pictures I have a bunch from the beginning and end, but sadly because it was a technical hike and we had the dogs with us, I don't really have any cave pictures. I will look through them one more time and see if I can find any others.

That doesn't stop me from closing my eyes and picturing this happy spot when life feels tough this week!

Where's your Happy Spot?

Mellow Yellow Monday: Ice Caves

This post is inspired by Mellow Yellow Monday! For more yellowy goodness click here MellowYellowBadge

Just a tiny touch of yellow in today's photos. I am amazed at how much I am starting to see yellow after doing this project for a few weeks now. It's every where and what great reminder to remain positive and happy.

This weekend I went on another hike. This time it was to the Ice Caves at Sam's Point (NY). Once you walk a bit you get to this sign and on the back is an old remnant of what the main sign used to be.

The yellow reads, "...bottom of that ancient sea of 150 million years ago." Sounds like an amazing start to an adventure, doesn't it?

Kitchen

Finding something perfect to decorate the kitchen that you don't even 'own' yet = happiness!

I'm hoping it's not bad luck to buy something for a house that's not yet bought, but I couldn't resist. It must be goodluck! I really like the laid back clean country style and this picture represented all of that for me. I can really see it hanging in a clean, open, sunny, happy kitchen!

I especially loved the Highland Dairy milk jug.. that's local NY milk!!
