Thank goodness for dogs -- seriously, thank goodness!
One look at Katie's cute little face calms me down and puts things back into perpective. (Yes, I have been pulling hairs this week and posting late; never good signs.)
This dog rock was a gift from my brother.. (thank you again Brother!). I don't know where he found it, but it's the coolest things EVER (well, I think he found it on Etsy)! I love my doggie and golden retrivers in general, so when I opened the box from him and found this I was squealing with delight!
I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of Katie posing with the dog rock. As with any other unpredicible animal... the shoot was going well until she decided she wanted to see how tasty this dog rock was.
Made for the most adorable picture!
Dog rock, which I have named Kay, is now sitting happily with me at work and is a constant reminder of just how lucky I am to have my doggie in my life and how cool my little bro is!

Wolf Smiles
A few more wolf pictures for you. I really like the one I captured with the wolf looking over her shoulder ... and you see those amazing wolf eyes!
Even now, just seeing pictures puts the biggest smile on my face! I have plans to go back in the winter sometime to see them again. In the winter the wolves will don their big beautiful thick winter coats and be at their seasonal best as they frolic in the snow and play wolf games!
Can't wait!

Wolf Eyes
Here are some more of my favorite shots from my visit to Lakota Wolf Preserve. I really enjoyed seeing the wolves interact with each other and with our guide! We also got to see them running and playing.
They move like lightening and I still can't get over the size of their feet!

wolf
For as long as I can remember I have been facinated with wolves. The way they set up their pack, the way they care for each other, the way they mate for life. Wolves are amazing! Well, this past weekend I got to go to the Lakota Wolf Preserve in Columbia, NJ.
I have a ton more pictures coming, but just look how close we were! And how beautiful wolves are!

Butterfly
Last weekend we hiked on Sunday and I was so lucky to see TONS of butterflies out and about. They were so docile and let me take a lot of good up close pictures; which honestly doesn't always happen. I am usually racing around after them trying to catch a portion of a wing!
I really adore the orange and the spots on this particular butterfly. And check out those cool antennae!!
Happy Friday!

Fresh French Bread
With the weather cooling off I can fire up the oven and bake again. I was in the mood this past weekend to find something to fill some time and my stomach so I pulled out my trusty recipie box and thumbed through it a bit. Lo and behold I come across a stained, folded, and apparently well used recipie for french bread.
Mr. Happy is the one who found this particular recipie and early in our dating days he wooed me with fresh, from scratch, bread made with his own two hands. Side note... that was seriously one of the moments when I knew he was the most amazing man and I had to keep him in my life!
So, if you haven't made bread lately... it takes a long time! I started in the early afternoon and after all the mixing, rising, kneading, punching, shaping, more rising, coating, and baking.... I had the best smelling house and the best tasting bread (at 9pm at night).
Yes we proceeded to dig in and had a nice late night dessert of hot buttered bread. And we went to bed with the biggest smiles on our face! Bread fixes a lot of things and the smell of fresh bread will forever remind me of one of the reasons I fell in love with my husband!

Lego Rabbit
Lego rabbits = happiness!
Ok, I'll be the first to say that rabbits are adorable! They have the long ears, big feet, and fluffy tail that all add to their cuteness factor. So you may think that a rabbit made out of legos might loose some of that cuteness factor? Wrong, they are still the most adorable little things!
Must be the tilted head, button nose, or welcoming eyes? Even that lego carrot... how cool are legos? So totally cool!!
And yes, I still have a few more of these to post. They are too amazing not to share!
