This week's theme was Gift. I've been craving an excuse to start my multimedia book... and I can't think of a better way to kick it off. So, no having a clue what I'm doing, I jumped in and started layering watercolor paints and sharpie markers to create this uplifting doodle.
I'm pretty pleased and looking forward to more experimentation with multimedia stuffs! In my mind, I still need to try mixing paints and fabrics for the ultimate in color and texture.
You can find out more about this weekly challenge (don't be shy) and see what the other artists put together here.
Wishing you puppy licks and sunshine!

This is a very sweet sentiment Christie, and such a cheerful painting!
People can be the best gifts of all, can't they? Love that. :) The background looks like one of your quilts! So colorful!
YES! so glad you made it jsut under the wire, Christie. Fun piece. Adn yes, paints mixed with fabrics woudl be so great to see. go for it! :) TY, ty. Watercolours and sharpies work great together, don't they?
what a lovely happy piece - and love the type treatment!
Really nice job. I really like the way the text is illustrated here, as it is clearly atop the painting, yet doesn't block it out with it's presence, casting a 3D effect. Thanks
Perfect start to your multi media book, very uplifting piece.
